About us
Lucas Messenger is an experienced commercial litigator and insolvency lawyer who solves difficult problems, big and small and navigates high-stakes disputes across industries.
In 20 years of practice, Lucas has litigated cases in state and federal court on behalf of individuals and smaller businesses, as well as larger, institutional clients. Past clients have included independent medical practices owners, real estate agents, bar owners, HOA board members, real estate investment promoters, SEO companies, yoga studios, and local governments.His experience with large, institutional clients includes resolving disputes for financial services companies, national retailers, hedge funds, energy companies, and health insurance companies.
Lucas has been named as a Rising Star by Southern California Super Lawyers and is an authority on California non-party discovery. He wrote and published several articles on the topic, including the treatise–”Non-Party Discovery in California.”
Prior to forming Messenger Law APC, Lucas clerked for a federal magistrate judge and practiced at large national law firms, including, most recently, Robins Kaplan LLP. He received his J.D. from University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and his B.A. from University of Michigan. A former president of the Century City Bar Association, Lucas continues to serve on its board of directors.
